Open access policy

1. As of 2016, all articles, reviews and communications of ACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. Under this license, the authors retain copyright on the material but allow any user to share, copy, redistribute, transmit and adapt the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes without providing additional permissions, provided that the credit of the original authorship of the work is adequately recognized, providing a link to the license, and indicating whether changes have been made.
2. By using this license, ACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías meets all requirements to be considered Open Access.
3. Authors may not use copyrighted material within their articles, reviews or communications unless they have obtained the required permission or approval to reproduce the content exclusively in the submitted manuscript.

The journal ACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías is published by USFQ PRESS, the publishing house of Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ and adopts this open access policy based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge, promotes freedom and the development of our countries, and facilitates the access and dissemination of science.
