Abstract
Information on the breeding biology of Phrygilus plebejus is presented based on a nest found in a rural area in the highlands of Ecuador. The open cup-like nest was constructed with different plant and animal materials. Clutch included three eggs, which are described together with the nestlings. Reproductive perio was 34 days, including 15 days of incubation and 18 days of nestlings permanence in the nest.
