In this volume, Esferas brings together seven different academic articles on community outreach projects carried out in Ecuador. These articles are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 3 Health and Wellness, SDG 4 Quality Education, and SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities. The community outreach projects are developed by professors, students and collaborators from different institutions, including Universidad de Cuenca, Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ, Universidad UTE, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), Reverdece, Colegio Johannes Kepler, Jardines Silvestres Quito, and the Municipality of the Mejía Canton.

Esferas presents the work methodologies applied for the implementation of the projects and the results they have had so far. The objective of this monographic series is to raise awareness of the great work being done for the benefit of the country and to motivate people to participate in or create similar high-impact projects.
