Abstract

This paper describes the automation of the air station PN-2800 by the Allen Bradley CompactLogix platform; it is an integral part of the Laboratory Industrial Control, Department of Electrical and Electronics of the Polytechnic School Army (ESPE), called C.I.M.2000. AIR station PN-2800, meets with the primary role of providing raw material in order to implementation of various CIM2000 processes within, for which it maintains a fully autonomous in relation to the implementation of the steps needed for release of raw materials requested. Updating AIR station PN-2800, supports maintaining operation"™s multiple modes, with an HMI that allows the user to understand and manage the control at station providing easy and convenient way to understanding this way, development and functionality of industrial processes found in many businesses.

For this project was made migration MODICON platform, with 984 PLC COMPACT A130, to the platform with the PLC COMPACTLOGIX 1768-L43A of ALLEN BRADLEY, and there was a wide optimization of the air station, directly related to time optimization, flexibility in the processes are carried out as mixed orders of raw materials, as well as reduced wiring. Through a single network cable and using the Ethernet network infrastructure, the transfer was made information and communication with other stations and CIM Lab especially with the Central Station, thus improving the wiring used before with PLC 984 COMPACT A130 on the platform MODBUS.
