Abstract

In 2004, X. Andrade, an anthropologist, created an art platform called the Full Dollar Corporation. Between June and August 2013, Andrade presentedt the exhibition The Full Dollar Collection of Contemporary Art, at dpm gallery (Guayaquil) and at El Conteiner (Quito). The Full Dollar is a series of 23 images made by Victor «Don Pili» Escalante, a native of Playas, who, in his proposal, appropriates contemporary works of art and reconstructs them under the language of popular graphics. post (s) presents a conversation with Andrade about the themes that revolve around the project: market criticism, replication, popular culture ...
