Abstract
Can the most dystopian materials engendered by technology suggest a new way of embodying the world? Dolores plásticos is a video essay constructed from found footage, 3D scans, animations, and artificial intelligence that delves into accumulation, mutability, and excess as sensory experiences that pierce us in a turbulent present. The essay, written as a diary, narrates the artistic decisions that guided the video’s direction, and seeks to embody a form of thought born from excess and saturation.
