Abstract

This essay is based on the artistic research project (Li)temia, which examines lithium in its dual role as a psychotropic drug and an energy resource through a self-theoretical practice that intertwines material and symbolic agencies. Lithium emerges as an element that permeates bodies, technologies, and territories, revealing regimes of functionality, containment, and control. Through the doubling of the battery as a method, the text traces correspondences between human and non-human bodies and presents the research findings.
