Abstract

The text reflects on the role of representation in our experience of nature, questioning how images affect the division between nature and culture. Based on visual records of the Andes Mountains in different periods (dictatorship, post-dictatorship and present), the institutional and personal archives are contrasted, proposing a critical view that recognizes nature as an active agent that shapes life.
