This eighth edition has the privilege to include diverse and apposite investigations for the understanding of the current dynamics. This volume contains distinguished research projects, namely: a review of the political and economic trajectory of the Republic of Botswana aimed to extract strategies of development and democratization applicable to other nations of the Global South; a revision of the predominant and masculine historiography present in the Latin American independence movements; a reconsideration, based on critical geopolitics, of the human body as a territory to add visibility to the struggle against multiple forms of violence; a comparative assessment between the Sumak Kawsay program and the Developmental State model, which was successfully applied to Japan and South Korea; and finally, an analysis of the education policy implemented during the Administrations of Lenín Moreno and Guillermo Lasso.
