Abstract
On September 24, 2020, the first "Red Alert: Ecocide in Galapagos" event of the sixth edition of The Outsider took place. The topic discussed was the situation of the Galapagos Islands in the face of the threat of Chinese vessels. On July 5, 260 vessels from a fishing fleet were detected via satellite within the restricted zone of the Insular Region of Ecuador. As a result, a large number of species in the reserve have been threatened by illegal and excessive fishing.
