Abstract
This text is the result of a speculative fictional exercise based on the theory of hauntology, as developed by Jacques Derrida, Mark Fisher, and Kathy Shaw, and further appropriated by Tarek Elhaik and X. Andrade in relation to imagework or fieldwork on the image. Following the structure of an annotated diary—where the traces, hints, and survivals of a film can be found—we explore the concepts of ethno-hauntology, phantomglyph, and auralwork. These principles form the structural foundation of our collective’s creative and research practices, and have already been applied in installations, research papers, and curatorial projects.
