Abstract
For this edition of post(s), music takes a main role in the framework of discussions and debates on cultural criticism, while at the same time it is the axis of reflections that, departing from creative practice, seek to understand the contemporary world. Something uncommon in the Latin American context, where music has traditionally been studied from musicology and ethnomusicology. For the present, however, this approach takes as theoretical-critical and methodological bases media and cultural studies. Likewise, music, more than an object of study, becomes a source of inspiration to bring fresh and effective ways of thinking and doing academia.
