Abstract

In the context of the Chilean social uprising of 2019, photographer Alexis Díaz Belmar directed a project titled Palimpsesto. Muros del estallido. This work showcases a series of walls in Santiago that served as canvases for capturing the diverse demands of the protesters. Based on a systematic photographic record of these walls, a multidisciplinary team was assembled to create a site-specific installation that functions as a visual calendar of the events.
