History
USFQ Law Review is an academic initiative, that was born from a group of undergraduate students, supported by professors, from the Law School of Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ. On May 23rd 2012, the first call to submit papers as well as to choose the members of the Editorial Committee was made. On July 19th, the Academic Editorial Board "”an ad hoc body created to select the founding members of USFQ Law Review"” announced the first five members of the permanent Editorial Committee. The selection was made based on the GPA, responsibility demonstrated during their studies, organizational and leadership capacity, interrelation ability, initiative and proactivity. Since then, USFQ Law Review has upheld the mission and vision of its predecessors and has worked to constantly position the journal at a higher level.
USFQ Law Review makes a special recognition to Professor Sophia Espinosa Coloma as the main promoter and support at the early moments of the Journal. Likewise, we thank former Dean Luis Parraguez and former Vice Dean Farith Simon for their trust and openness to this student initiative.
Aims and Scope
USFQ Law Review is a law, academic, and peer-reviewed journal that is published annually. For this reason, USFQ Law Review publishes papers written in Spanish and English.
Theme/Thematic
USFQ Law Review is an academic journal in which original, legal, academic, and scientific research papers are published. In this sense, it has a single section. The EPR verify the papers"™ compliance with publication criteria. The EPR are not remunerated.
