From locus amoenus to locus horridus in two images within an imaginary museum

The following article discusses the notions of locus amoenus and locus horridi, both part of the critical tradition that reads the crossroads between visual arts and literary representation, as well as the concept of musée imaginaire provided by Malraux to think upon the relation between photographic image and literature in two Argentine short stories: “Fotos”, by Rodolfo Walsh and “Apocalipsis en Solentiname” by Julio Cortázar, with the intention of pondering the possibility of two new inclusions – each one inscribed in each text – within the galleries of said museum with regards to Argentine literature of the second half of the XXth Century.
