Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Comply with the journal's citation model, which is based on the Chicago Manual of Style. The citation system is exemplified in the USFQ Law Review Author Guide.
  • I declare that I know and accept the internal policies of USFQ Law Review concerning copyright, described in the section About The Journal.
  • I declare that the paper, the file that contains it, and all the annexes attached, do not contain any information that could allow the identification of the author(s), ensuring an anonymous evaluation. For this purpose, all the guidelines stated in the Instructions for Protection of Anonymity, specified in the section Information for Authors, have been followed.
  • I declare that I have read, understood and I will follow all the steps detailled in the Procedure for Submission of Papers described in the section Information for Authors, including the Manual for Submissions through OJS and the Manual for Submissions through Google Forms.
  • I declare that there is no Conflict of Interest (CoI); if there is any, I have declared it in the manuscript, after the Conclusions section.

Author Guidelines

CONVOCATORIA ACTUAL [ABIERTA]:  Volumen XI, Número I: 15 de enero de 2024 (fecha de cierre)

Nota: los artículos recibidos después de la fecha de cierre de la convocatoria actual serán considerados para la siguiente convocatoria. 

Es indispensable que los trabajos que vayan a ser sometidos al proceso de admisión cumplan con los siguientes criterios de publicación para artículos: (i) relevancia e innovación del problema jurídico abordado; (ii) contenido argumentativo y crítico; (iii) suficiencia en la investigación y manejo adecuado de fuentes académicas; (iv) estructura, formato y sistema de citación detallados en la Guía de Autor de la USFQ Law Review con base en el Manual de estilo de Chicago; (v) extensión mínima de 5.000 palabras y máxima 35 páginas de contenido; y, (vi) que no haya sido publicado previamente ni esté siendo considerado para otra publicación.

Es elección del articulista: el número de autores del artículo; el tema, materia y área del problema jurídico abordado en el artículo; y, la redacción del artículo en idioma español o inglés.

Con el fin de asegurar estándares de calidad, así como un proceso imparcial, la recepción de los artículos es anónima y se la realiza mediante envío por parte de los autores a través de la plataforma Open Journal System (OJS). Paralelamente, los autores también deben enviar el mismo artículo vía plataforma Google Forms, con la finalidad de almacenar el trabajo en caso de potenciales fallas de la plataforma OJS.

Es preciso recalcar que nuestra revista no cobra a los articulistas tasa alguna por envío, edición ni publicación.
