Abstract

A girl watches her mother on the verge of emotional collapse, while both participate in an act of remembrance in front of Carondelet. The mother, silent for years, breaks her mutism and publicly reveals the trauma that has marked her life: she was tortured and raped by the military during the dictatorship, and her daughter was born from that violence. The narrative, interwoven with a lyrical child's voice, explores the body, memory, and silence as territories of pain. The girl begins to understand that the fear, confusion, and wound she carries in her body are not hers alone, but an inheritance of the horror experienced by her mother. With metaphors of trees, flowers, roots, and broken bodies, the story-poem weaves a tale of mourning, resistance, and love.
