This paper describes the view about the law that is shown in recent literature on drug trafficking written in Mexico. From a perspective of cultural study of law, it is proposed that this fiction reflects some beliefs about the law and criminal justice ingrained in current Mexican society, which are far from the official stories about the phenomenon of drug trafficking.
