Democracy: a game for all and for no one

Abstract

In recent periods, and due to the peculiarity of the last few years of formal politics in Ecuador, special emphasis has been placed on analyses that question the capacity of the governments in power to be true enablers of democracy in the country. However, very little has been said about the political quality that Ecuadorian citizens could present at the moment of being identified as effective citizens of a democratic system.
