This study explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the legal field, particularly in its role in equity arbitration. Despite advances in natural language processing, Artificial Intelligence relies on human-made algorithms and lacks its own will, which can lead to biases and ethical limitations. The research examines how the lack of understanding of human contexts and ethical nuances affects its effectiveness in equity arbitration, where sensitivity to context and ethical judgment are essential. In Ecuador, with issues such as corruption and outdated technology, arbitration, and mediation are considered viable solutions. This analysis highlights the disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence in equity arbitration and emphasizes the need for human supervision to ensure fairness and uphold principles of confidentiality and impartiality.
