Este artículo trata primero de definir deforestación y explora brevemente algunos acercamientos teóricos que explican sus causas, Luego usa al Nororiente Ecuatoriano para explicar las complejidades de este proceso, Finalmente, hace una reflexión para los que no vivimos dentro de la selva Amazónica desde la teoría de sistemas dinámicos,
