Abstract

At the beginning of 2021, the western world concreted the vaccination against covid-19, the virus that had paralyzed humanity for more than a year. But in Ecuador, the longed for a vaccine was a distant longing and a privilege of wells. In this chronicle, the moments of a Quito family are related: two adults, a teenager and a girl in the search for immunity on a trip to the United States. Their uncertainty in front of the different brands, the waiting, the anticipation of holidays without mask, the future and the economy of the country were exposed in this story.
