Abstract
This report presents the case of an 11 year old male patient, without personal or family history of importance, who consults due to facial deformity in April 2014. A computerized axial tomography of face was performed being demonstrated a right maxillary sinus occupational lesion with extension to the orbital floor, nasal and maxillary region, which caused deformity of the bony structures. Incisional biopsy was compatible with juvenile ossifying fibroma. Subsequently, the enucleation of the pathology and reconstruction of the defect in the orbital floor were performed with satisfactory results for the patient.
Juvenile ossifying fibroma is a type of benign lesion infrequent, can be very aggressive and has a high rate of relapse in certain cases, so a proper diagnosis and treatment should be performed with a long term follow up of patients.
