Abstract

The crisis in Venezuela crosses borders in all areas. The media also experienced their crises. Long-distance television channels and newspapers closed their doors and liquidated personnel during the "Bolivarian Revolution." But this meant the emergence of other digital native media and new communication channels for Venezuelans still in their country and for those who migrated. Whatsapp became the most used social network to receive information and the internet the main way to do it. This is a chronicle of the media crisis in Venezuela.
