#PerDebate requests and publishes articles of both research and reflection on professional and creative practices in areas related to journalism. The topics range from the analysis of media, media products, technological innovations for information and data management, audience interaction in the digital age, new platforms and journalistic initiatives, among others.
This publication collects topics from the XIII International Congress "Periodismo en Debate" held from November 6 to 11, 2023. The event was called: "The new frontiers of journalism: Artificial intelligence, social networks, Storytelling, monetization and human mobility." This congress was a space for discussion to reflect on how the way of doing journalism is changing. In the era of misinformation and artificial intelligence, journalism is more necessary than ever to understand the phenomena that transform society. In a year of political uncertainty for Ecuador, questions about this new era in journalism were discussed at the event.
