Ñuka Shuti Man (my name is)

Abstract

Ñuka shuti man (My Name is) is a project that narrates the memories of the daughters of Carmelina Ushigua, a woman from the Sapara culture. She had to migrate from the jungle to the city of Puyo in Ecuador due to a forced marriage and in order to offer a better future for her children. After her displacement, she felt the need to rebuild a community similar to the one she had in the jungle, but this time on the outskirts of the city, recreating the space of her childhood.
