Brown and Black Affectivities: Conversation with Colectivo Ayllu - Migrant Transgressors of the Kingdom of Spain

Abstract

Colectivo Ayllu is a collaborative artistic-political research and action group formed by racialized migrants, sexual and gender dissidents from former European colonies. Their practice insists that racialized and sexual dissent goes through experiences and oppressions diffetent than a white sexual dissident body. The group proposes a critique of whiteness as a European colonial heteronormative ideology and of the global project of multicultural cities. For this interview, I propose to delve into critical thinking and anti-racist activism through artistic and activist practices that are based on a break with the structuring logic of white normativity.
